By car to Trondheim, Norway
The nearest airport is Trondheim Airport, Værnes
take advantage of the public transport system.

Travelling by plane

The nearest airport is “Trondheim Airport, Værnes” (Stjørdal) which is just half an hour from Trondheim. There is a regular bus service to Trondheim, almost every 15 mins. flybussen.no/trondheim
The bus takes you to Prinsen Kinosenter which is close to the Cathedral and the festival area. (Approx. ticket prices: One way: €15. Round trip ticket: €26.)
Alternatively there is a train from the airport to the central station. (Single ticket approx. €10.)

Travelling by train

Your best rail connection to Trondheim can easily be found online on the website of Norwegian State Railways, nsb.no
All long distance trains stop at Trondheim central station.
On arrival:

  • Take the bus (Route 3, 46, 55 or 60) heading for “Prinsen Kinosenter” just outside the train station See map: http://g.co/maps/rcngh
  • You need approximately 19 minutes (1,5 km) to walk from the train station to the Cathedral and the festival area. See map: http://g.co/maps/nxmmx
